🧱 Site Preparation Required
This fountain sits within a modular pool that requires specific preparation on your part:
- A level base of 4" poured concrete or 6" compacted crushed limestone, sized to the pool's outside diameter.
- Site must be dry and free of rain in the forecast for at least 2 days, with temperatures staying above 39°F during setup and sealant cure.
- The modular floor, wall, and cap sections — all included — must be assembled, sealed with the included Sikaflex 1A construction sealant, and then capped on site.
- 4,800 GPH recommended pump included. No separate pump sourcing required.

FORKLIFT REQUIRED AT DELIVERY: Due to its shipping weight, Monticello requires a forklift to unload the crate from the freight truck. You MUST have a forklift and operator onsite at delivery. Ask your contractor or landscaper about forklift availability, or contact a small equipment rental company or hardware retailer (e.g., Lowe’s, Home Depot).

About Natural
A garden ornament ordered in the "Natural" color is unstained concrete straight from the mold and lightly buffed. This option highlights the authentic character of the material and is known for being low maintenance and easy to clean. Natural is also preferred by customers who want to encourage moss growth and intentionally age the piece so it begins to resemble an old-world European ornament within a couple of seasons.
If you prefer a raw aesthetic with a subtle patina applied, consider "Old Stone."
