A Modern Acrylic Ball Fountain Masterpiece
The Crystal Sphere Fountain from Blue Thumb Fountains is a masterclass in contemporary water feature design. Featuring a glass-like acrylic ball seeming to float atop a steel plate, it will add a beautiful focal point and conservation starter to any landscape design.
Water fills the stainless steel bowl – finished in a striking black powder coat – and cascades over all sides for recirculation, creating points of sight and sound in 360°. At nighttime, the water movement is additionally enhanced by the included LED light kit, which can be operated by remote control and provides an abundance of color options.
Winter Storage Warning. Cold weather states: the sphere should be removed and stored indoors during winter months to mitigate risks of cracking or subsequent failure. Milder states: when a cold snap below 32° is possible, it's recommended to turn the pump off and let the sphere drain; note that the warranty does not cover freeze damage, so any extra steps taken is a benefit.
Escape to Sights and Sounds of Falling Water
Water bubbles up from the center of the sphere and beautifully overflows its surface, creating a soothing, rippling effect. The water then flows over the plate and fills the steel bowl before cascading down into the landscaping pebbles. Activate the LED lights to bathe the fountain in a spectrum of selected colors to further promote a calming environment.

Is the sphere transparent or cloudy?
Thanks for the question. You can see through the sphere. And because of refraction, the objects through the sphere appear upside down – a pretty cool effect when standing up close. The sphere does not have any milkyness.

We don't plan to run this water feature 24/7. Any problems leaving the sphere "dry" in the sun without water running through it?
Thanks for the question! The water feature is not requried to be run 24/7. There's no issue with the sphere being left dry in a sunny location.
