Description

A Copper Tree Garden Fountain Masterpiece

More than a water feature, the Oak Tree Fountain in Copper by Blue Thumb is a bespoke piece of art. Each leaf is individually hand cut in England by skilled artisans in coppersmithing.

Feel the the ribbing on the leaves and watch the tiny copper spouts inside each leaf spring to life when the water is activated. Enjoy the meditative look and durability of this 5.8 foot tall and 375-pound water fountain.

Winter Storage: To ensure optimum performance for years to come and to help preserve the metals, the designers strongly recommend bringing the tree portion and pump indoors when temperatures will be below freezing. The basin can remain in the ground.

Escape to the Sounds of Cascading Waters

Water showers down from tiny spouts within the forged copper leaves, falling 5-6 feet into the subsurface basin for recirculation. The strong ambient sounds of the Oak Tree Fountain in Copper are ideal to help mask street noise and promote a tranquil environment.

Your copper tree fountain will fit perfectly into locations that include:

➤ Garden, Courtyard, Lawn, Entryway, Rock Garden, Flower Bed.

Complete Kit Includes: Copper Tree Water Feature, Achelous Basin, Splash Apron, High-Efficiency Pump, Stainless Mesh Pre-filter Pump Bag, Tubing, Ball Valve, Fittings.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • What's the splash zone on this kind of water feature?

The splash zone on of our copper tree fountains is typically a 1:1 ratio. This Oak tree is 70" tall, so you would want at least 70" diameter for capturing the splash. Given the Oak's significant height, water WILL splash outside the basin's 51.5" diameter range. This is why we include the Splash Apron complementary. The Splash Apron (i.e., essentially a configurable tarp) will be cut to the size needed and hidden underneath all of the surrounding rocks to funnel the water back down into the basin.

  • Do the leaves typically patina slowly or quickly? Will an indoor placement location slow down the natural patina process?

The Patina takes a good 1-2 years before you really see it - a lot of variables in this timeline, but this is most typical. Indoor installation slows the process and it may never patina indoors, but we cannot be 100% certain. The vast majority of customers who place these in traditional outdoor locations enjoy watching the natural patina process over the years and do not take steps to slow the aging.
