Rustic Style for a Spectacular Water FountainThe Sugar Kettle Water Fountain from Blue Thumb Fountains is a beautifully hand-molded cast iron bowl that's an authentic replica of those used in the processing of sugarcane. Water fills the bowl and cascades over all sides into the subsurface basin for recirculation, creating stunning beauty in 360°.
Relax to the Ambient Sound of Waterfalls
Thanks to the seamless lip design, water spills freely over the sides of the Sugar Kettle Fountain in 360°. This produces a strong ambient sound, ideal for helping mask street noise.
Available in 4 sizes to complement any landscape design and space. Your Sugar Kettle Fountain will fit perfectly into locations that include:
➤ Garden, Pathway, Lawn, Flower or Rock Bed, Natural Courtyard.
Complete Kit Includes: Fountain, 48" basin with Splash Apron, high-efficiency pump, auto-fill/float valve, anti-splash mat, tubing. Note: Since this fountain kit includes the auto-fill/float device, only select the add-on if you want an extra.
Splash Apron: The 8 ft. x 8 ft. apron acts as a "funnel" and extends beyond the subsurface basin to help prevent water loss, by capturing and returning water that would otherwise end up in the surrounding landscape. Cut the apron to fit your fountain and discard unneeded material. It can be installed after initial setup and becomes less leveraged with the smaller kettle sizes.

Delivery Inspection Checklist for LTL/Freight Shipments
Before You Sign for Delivery
- Review paperwork to confirm it is in fact your order.
- Look for signs of possible exterior damage even before opening the crate (e.g., ripped shrink-wrap, a broken or open pallet).
- Do NOT refuse the delivery unless the damage is very bad, including items poking out of the crate or if it's obvious the pallet fell off the truck.
If Damage is Found
- The driver won't be able to wait for a full inspection of the contents.
- Write what exterior damage you see onto the paperwork before signing. The paperwork is sometimes called Bill of Lading (BOL) or Delivery Receipt.
- BE SPECIFIC, even about anything that looks out of place. Example: Pallet arrived open, potential damage to contents.
- Sign the paperwork and ensure a copy is retained by both you and the driver.
Photograph the Damage
- Take clear photo(s) of the damaged or suspected areas.
- Take a photo of your signed paperwork.
- Remit photos to Fountainful immediately, with a description of the delivery experience.
If you set up the product and later attempt a claim, it will be denied by the freight carrier and you will be responsible for the cost of replacement pieces and reshipment.
Payment & Security
Your payment information is processed securely. We do not store credit card details nor have access to your credit card information.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
What is the 'splash apron'?
Thank you for the question! The splash apron acts as a "funnel" to help prevent water loss when it splashes outside of the fountain's designated area. This, in turn, reduces the frequency of refilling the water basin. The splash apron can be installed after the fountain is setup.
Official Description: the 8-foot sq. apron will help to prevent water loss from your fountain by extending beyond the perimeter of your basin, capturing and returning water that would otherwise end up in the surrounding landscape. You can custom cut and tailor the apron to fit around your fountain(s) and trim any additional that is not needed.
Does everything needed to assemble the fountain come with it? What is the weight of the sugar kettle? Weight of the square base? Where does the power cord for pump exit?
Thank you for the questions! 1) Everything needed for immediate installation and enjoyment of the Sugar Kettle Fountain is included (fountain, 48" basin with splash apron, high-efficiency pump, auto-fill valve, anti-splash mat, plumbing & tubing). Polished pebbles are available as an optional add-on on the product page if you wish to integrate them with your landscaping. 2) The Sugar Kettle Fountain comes in 4 sizes (S / M / L / XL). Please see the Specifications Table in the Description to confirm the weight of the size you're interested in. 3) The subsurface basin is approximately 50 pounds. 4) The power cord will exit from a designated portion of the basin. See photos on pg. 6 of the Installation Guide available on the product page, which shows the power cord near the completion of setup. The 48" Achelous Aquabox Basin and pump are perfectly okay to run 24/7, or you may choose to connect it to a timer. Approximate evaporation is 1"-2" weekly, however this estimate is dependant on your region and climate.
Financing a Made-to-Order Item
